Born in Singapore, I spent my childhood following my father—a lifelong traditional herbalist—back to China. Growing up in my grandmother’s courtyard garden, surrounded by the daily fragrance of wild flora, I learned from a tender age that Eastern herbs carry a quiet, gentle power to heal.
Later, my dedication led me to a high-flying career as a senior finance executive in top-tier investment banking. Yet, the relentless rush of this elite lifestyle eventually took its toll. Sustained only by caffeine and cortisol, I found myself running on empty. One late night, looking in the mirror at my exhausted self, I faced a quiet truth: I had become a "professional caregiver" to everyone else's life, while completely draining the energy to care for my own. This chronic strain was drying up my very source of life.
It was my father who stepped in, turning to our family’s ancestral botanical remedies to gently nurse me back to balance with pure, cellular-level nourishment. In 2014, I chose to share this path of recovery with the world. Merging generations of inherited Eastern botanical wisdom and my father’s lifetime of craftsmanship with the rigorous, uncompromising standards forged in my finance career, we united to found iTREE.
Driven by a shared reverence for the terroir, mindful harvesting, and absolute purity of every herb, we insist on small-batch crafting, refusing impetuous mass production. For us, the pride of iTREE lies not in the scale of sales, but in walking this journey together as father and son, staying true to our original love for the earth.
